バレンタインの季節、IBEのトップページはピンク色に染まり、様々なハートが顔を覗かせます。
作品を手がけたのは、イラストレーターの大塚文香さん。版画のように、色毎に版のデータを作り、それらを重ねて制作する大塚さんの作品は、まるで手刷りしたかのような温かみがあります。少しだけ日々の生活が楽しくなったり、豊かな気持ちになれるような絵を描きたいと語る大塚さん。懐かしくて新しい、大塚さんのタッチで描かれた色もフォルムも様々なハートたちは、愛のかたちも様々、そんなことを思わせてくれます。
文字通り、ハートフルなコラボレーションが、バレンタインムードを盛り上げてくれそうです。

During the Valentine's Day season, IBE's top page is tinted pink with various hearts peeking out.
The work was created by illustrator Ayaka Otsuka. Like a woodblock print, Otsuka creates a data sheet for each color, and then layers the data to create her works, which have a warmth as if they were hand-printed. Otsuka says she wants to create pictures that make daily life a little more enjoyable and enriching. The hearts of various colors and forms drawn with Otsuka's nostalgic yet new touch remind us that love comes in many forms.
As the words suggest, this heartwarming collaboration is sure to bring a lot of excitement to the Valentine's Day mood.

Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Design.
Currently working mainly on illustrations for books and magazines.
In 2020, she won the Hiroaki Nagai Award at the HB Gallery File Competition vol. 30.
